Get ready for The City of West Sacramento's 2nd annual Community Academy!

The Community Academy is a free, seven-session program designed to help West Sacramento residents learn more about their city government.

Participants will learn about the operations of various City Departments through an interactive, behind the scenes learning experience that is designed to be both informative and fun. Academy graduates will be prepared to advocate more effectively for policies and programs they support, to apply for advisory commissions, or to simply be better-informed about how their city operates.

Feedback from last year's cohort has been overwhelmingly positive. Talk to the Police and Fire Chiefs. Learn how the City's water is treated and distributed. Find out how building and road projects are planned and approved.  Do you know exactly what the City Clerk does? Ask her!
